In my book that's all fine if the lead character has to drive a car, drink a soda and use a computer - PROVIDED it is shot in context.
In fact, back in the day before they allowed any advertising at all on TV shows (at least here in the US), I found the beverage cans labelled "Cola" and "Beer" somewhat off-putting.
