Update.
For those wondering, I ended up buying the NAD D3020. I found a good second hand deal and bit the bullet.

All I can say is: wow. Just wow! This little thing produces an incredible amount of crystal clear sound. It's only 30 watts, but the sound is better/richer than the sound my previous amp, an old Sony (2 x 130 watts) produced. Installation was dead simple too. Just install the USB driver and you're good to go.

I've only received it a few hours ago, but I already know this was a great purchase. I can recommend this to anyone who values good quality sound.
