I have to comment on the 3900 series. From the reviews I've read, the new XScale processor actually runs the OS SLOWER than the Strong Arm.

Reviewers are using "Intel" and "egg on face" in the same sentence. This matches with Win "CE" programmers having trouble getting their OS to run on the new processor.

My guess is the compiler team at Intel flubbed it. In any event the 9700 is good if you think you'll need the extra ROM (about 50% increase over the 3800) and if you want a MUCH better screen. I've compared the 3800 and 3900 @ Fry's the 3900's screen really looks much better. The only reason I don't buy it is the thing still isn't powerful enough to do 'speach to text'.
