I have photoshop at work, but can somebody explain to me how to get photoshop to scale 50 pictures automatically?

Assuming all the images are the same size, resolution, etc, using PS 5.0 or later and that you want to overwrite the original files.

1. Open one of the images.
2. Actions palette>new action. Click Record.
3. Scale the image.
4. Save it (the compression settings will be remembered) and close it.
5. Stop the action recording.
6. File>automate>batch.
7. Set the action to run and the source folder.
8. Click OK and watch them all be processed automatically.
