Quick question - were you using any type of DVI to analog adapter cable between the Dell and the KVM?

The reason I ask is that I pulled my hair out for 1/2 a day while (Ghost) imaging an Optiplex. It would display until it switched to the higher resolution mode just before the login prompt (I thought I had a display driver mismatch between the Ghost image and the Optiplex). It turned out that replacing the cable from a DVI/Analog adapter (to the analog input on monitor) to a straight DVI cable (to the DVI input on the monitor) fixed the issue.

Why it fixed the issue I have no idea, but it did, so I thought it couldn't hurt to ask here.
