I thought it was just some kind of delay in spinup as part of the boot, given that the last four entries before the disk was seen and recognized were correct. This is correct, though - if there is a hard error, that must be corrected first. It would not hurt to double check your connections, just in case.

As for the pump error, I am wondering if you were able to successfully load the builder. The loader is in protected flash, but it is a very short time window to get it in place. You should run the uploader software, and have it sitting there, waiting for the player before you actually plug the player in to power.
