I drove both a Sport and a Lounge and I thought the build quality and standard equipment level was excellent, in line with other cars in the 10k price bracket and certainly better than the Punto we used to have. I didn't have a look at the base model, but then I wouldn't have bought the base model anyway. I considered putting £500 down on an Abarth 500 but I've decided to drive one first before parting with any money.

I maintain the biggest rip off is Smart only offering a 2 year warranty in the first place. A car that complicated should be at least 3 years, if only to bring it in line with just about every other car on the market in the UK.
