Your SSD is set to Slave, instead of Master. You need a jumper to set it to master. Here is the info from the manual for your SSD.

*edit* the reason I can tell this is that hdb is the typical Linux designation for a hard drive on the primary IDE bus, as the slave device. hda is the normal primary master device. I don't remember offhand how hardcoded the player software is, but my belief is that the player software (and root fs) needs to be on hda.
