Of course, since I got TiVo, I don't think I've used m VCR more than once or twice. TiVo does not have Commercial Advance or equivalent, and when I asked them, they said they never would -- apparently as a result of an agreement they made with the commercial broadcasters.

You can now skip through a program faster than ever! Any time you're using Fast Forward or Rewind, you can press the ADVANCE button (below the Fast Forward button) to jump to the next tick mark on the green Status Bar. Press it again and you advance again to the next tick mark. Easy!
