However, many thieves will bust a window on such a car anyway, assuming that you stuck the radio under the seat because you didn't want to lug it around with you. I agree with this statement. Within two weeks of having the empeg, my car got broken into. I think they were looking for my empeg in the glovebox (gun compartment for the US types ) and they pinched my amp anyway.

Since then I've done the same as 'tfabris' (tony?) and put the original blanking plate from the dealer over the hole and 'touch wood' I've not been broken into yet...
