Yang, totally agree with that. Luckily I'm a self-taught C/C++ guy. Right now at Cal Poly SLO, they are also using Java for the introductory programming classes. One major thing I'd like to add that Java handles for you, memory allocation. Memory allocation was one of the, if not the hardest thing for me to grasp when I was learning C.
