Any idea when users slightly higher than 15,000 may place an order... sorry for impatience... but that "feature" seems to belong to the empeg as well as mp3-decoding... :)

I'm postponing further invitations partly because there seem to be some production glitches at the moment (I believe the functional test rig has been playing up over the last couple of days, but it should be fixed very soon) and partly because we need to see what happens with the fuel shortage here.

If both of those problems are fixed by Monday I'll send out some more invitations then (probably 250 of them).

any indications on when you're gonna update the recent queue status one the BBS and the EMPEG-Site.... well... at this point, I donno whether I'm just impatient or in the right, as the delays start to expand enormously....

Bare with us on this. A new sales processing guy (Andrew) started today and I'm trying to train him up without totally dropping him in the deep end. Once he's up to speed he's going to make a big difference to our sales processing efficiency.

I'll send the invites tomorrow evening and drop him in the deep end on Wednesday instead

The period since the last invitation has been rather long for two reasons:

1. The takeup rate is increasing - we're still getting lots of orders and it's been two weeks or more since invitations were sent

2. Production glitched between batches, and we've received very few players in the last two weeks. Stocks are very low and it would be pointless inviting more orders until we're sure we can ship them. Supply should be back to normal by the end of the week.
