Wondering if anyone on the board lives or is around paris, chances look promissing that im buying a place ticket to Africa next week so since I have a 9 hour lay over, I would be looking for someone to hang out with in the mean time. Thanks!

If I'm not mistaken, Mach lives there. But he was going to move again soon, or he might already have. You'd have to ask him to be sure.

I live in Paris but I'll be in Pau next week.

You'll likely fly into Charles de Gaulle. Check to make sure that your flight to Reunion goes out of the same. If the connection is out of Orly you'll need to take the metro ($5-10?), grab the air france shuttle ($15), or a taxi ($60-75). If you decide to go into Paris, cost will be similar, but make sure that you budget enough time and money to get back. A taxi can take an hour to 1.5 hour if traffic's really bad. The metro can take you an hour or more depending on where you jump off.

You might want to verify that you have all the shots that you need before you show up at immigration. It looks like reunion is easy compared with mainland Africa but double check. You do not want to be turned away upon arrival.

If you're French skills are anything like mine, you might want to pack a phrase book. If you have any other questions, let me know.

Haha the funny thing is I have literally zero french skills, which is why i was hoping to find someone there, who at least understood the system. Both flight are in CDG so im not worried about that. Well i mean either way I was going to take the metro around a bit, bummer your leaving so soon would have been fun to meet up, oh well. Ill probalby bug you more once the date gets closer thanks Mach.

I'm bracketing your dates -- there a few days before you, and again a few days after you (both in October).

Cheers

I do live in France but I am located at 2 hours car of Paris.

You are also unlucky because in France the 11th November is an Off day (The end of the 1st World War ...) so the airport will probably desert ....

My sister lives very close to CDG but the 11th Nov is not a week end but if I dont have a new job since will try to come to meet you and have a drink ...

Not sure
