Now, if it's still a problem after that, can anyone suggest where to look for the problem? The advanced Javascript preferences don't have the ability to affect this feature as far as I can tell (I've had them at defaults and still had the problem).

After updating I also noticed that auto-complete wasn't working and I had to go into the configuration edit thing ("about:config" on address bar) to fix it (it was set to false and I had to set it back to true).
