There are 4 15 minute partions (TiVo breaks all recordings into 15 minute partitions on the time bar.) You can hit FF or REW then hit the skip button and will immediately go to (or "jump-back to" ) the next bar instead of waiting for the FF or REW to get to that point.
Gotcha, sounds like a cool feature but the Replay remembers where you left off in a movie (and maybe Tivo does too) so if my kid is watching "Rugrats go to bumf*&K Egypt" and he falls asleep on the sofa I can switch on "Tech TV" and the next day the kid can finish the movie.

When watching any show, you can enter a number and then jump to skip to an exact point in the recording. This is best described with some examples:
30 Jump - Jumps 30 minutes into the recording (30 minutes)
90 Jump - Jumps an hour and a half into the recording (90 minutes)
100 Jump - Jump an hour into the recording (think 1:00)
130 Jump - Also jumps an hour and a half into the recording (1:30)
180 Jump - Jumps 2 hours and 20 minutes into the recording (1 hour and 80 minutes)
All jumps are done as absolute from the beginning. You can jump relative to your current location by entering the number and pressing QuickSkip or Instant Replay:
2 QuickSkip - Jump ahead 2 minutes
1 Instant Replay - Jump backward 1 minute
