Sorry, I've just been a little frazzled by this whole process. It's a little nerve wracking to do on my only empeg.
So I tried removing the IBM disk from the cable and plugging in the WD drive. When I tried opening emplode, I had problems. It saw the empeg, and it started going through the process. When it got to the "checking media" part, I got a Windows error and emplode crashed. So I fired up hyperterminal and this is what I saw:
