Hmmm. I'm not real sure then. I'd probably try doing a manual fsck like this if it's crashing or something while "checking media". Without the second drive you don't need to do the lines with hdc in them.

The manual fsck (which requires the developer image you now have ) might provide some clues as to what's happening since you'll be able to see any errors generated.

Edit: I'm basing this purely on the fact that I assume "Checking Media" is doing a fsck. Perhaps it's something like the swap partition isn't working properly.
