I've got a real headscratcher. It appears that I have a bad ethernet chip, but it is not the typical stuck D5 bit that we've seen earlier in this thread. There are several bits stuck high, but D5 appears to be working! In the past it seemed that lifting D5 would allow the other bits to get back in line, but since D5 is working, which one(s) is (are) responsible? Since only the ethernet chip and the IDE bus are 16 bits, it seems that the root cause is either one or both buffer ICs or the ethernet chip. Based on the below bootlog, is there any way to divine which bits to disable on the ethernet chip to get this working?
