I am guessing that the "NVIDIA/nForce Serial ATA Controller" line shows up three times because there are (at the moment) three SATA discs running? (I don't have the external one powered up at the moment.)
Its 3 controllers. Each one has two SATA connections if I remember correctly. They all show up even if nothing is connected to them.
