As someone who lives and drives in deep snow conditions regularly, I'll take my AWD Subaru over a non 4x4 any time. It is way better on snow and ice than most other vehicles.

And yes, I have treated it like a snowmobile, barrelling down forest trails in the dead of winter hunting for geocaches. Quite simply amazing what it can do, and where it can go.
