I hadn't planned on using car amps... should have been clearer.

I want to use the car audio sub, build a nice cabinet and then use a dedicated amp (AC). I'm thinking that the difference with my subs and enclosure should allow me to:
A: over engineer the construction versus commercial.
B: match the room.
and C: spend the difference on a higher current amp.
