Have you tried fdisk yet? I don't think the BIOS would limit that to what it sees. If it does then maybe there is something wrong with the drive. Give it a try on another computer, just to hook it up and see what size it thinks it is. Also don't jumper the drive to cable select, make it either the master or slave.
