No Tony, I never did. A combination of being 'too busy' and it not bothering me since I power the unit off before turning off my car, it really has not been a major problem for me.

I suppose I will ask for the diode at a later date.

Also, here is an FYI about another problem I have had. My unit sometimes locks up while uploading via USB, no apparent reason or pattern.. it just does it whenever. Sometimes I can upload 10 files, sometimes only 1. I did visit Microsofts web site this evening and discovered that they have a USB patch for Windows aimed for people with my particular CPU chip (AMD brand) so I downloaded and installed it. I have not yet tried it out, but I am hopeful that this new patch will fix that problem as well. I will be in touch as far as that is concerned.
