I meant interiors over the past 20 years or so. There's more stuff inside, with more massive consoles and whatnot, while the body has gotten more massive, probably due to increased body frame safety engineering. For example, the inside of a current 330i definitely feels more cramped than that of my '87 325 did, but it is definitely more luxurious in features and presentation. The exterior is also more massive.
