As a matter of fact, I did not notice the damage immediately because I did not look, and the drives were initially working; they actually did until I started to copy fids. Well, as I said I have two more Eutronix cables, which I will replace in the weekend, as I am now out of town.

Now, my concern is that if this Eutronix cable was damaged scratching against the display card, maybe the others will have the same problem. I need to find something to protect the new ide cable, as this one is really badly damaged. I can't think of anything else than a plastic surface to be put between the display board and the ide cable. Tape would only resist temporarily...
