I have used https://clonezilla.org/ to do this in the past. I've also used the software that comes with Samsung SSDs to move from disk to SSD.

WOW SSDs are really getting cheaper, I just checked Amazon and the Samsung 860 EVO 2TB is only $299.99 now.
