The theoretical package manager referenced in this thread and discussed here is functionally completely separate from JEmplode syncs. It changes nothing whether it would be packaged with JEmplode or not. (In fact, it would be trivial to separate if you really wanted it so.)

As for this sync lockup business, pay little attention yet. I'm not sure we (I?) know what we're talking about anymore...
