I've never had a virus or malware (installed) on any Windows machine. I chalk it up to habits rather than luck however. I've seen plenty of links to malware sites, obvious malware or trojans attached to email messages, etc. On Windows machines I've also run IE most of the time. Started with Netscape in 1995 and then moved to IE at version 3.

I suppose how a typical consumer could find themselves infested quickly enough though.

BTW Matt, Attack meant that AVG caused his dad's computer to run slowly and that the new MS software allows it to run quickly. I had to read the paragraph twice before I got that. Just ignore the first sentence or treat it as a synopsis rather than the lead into the next. smile
