I went to a Catholic high school, so I suppose that's not as Christian as most of the US, but I was taught there are exactly and precisely 10 commandments. While the Bible in its entirety is subject to interpretation, nothing else of what's written in it, regardless of the language used, should be interpreted as commandments.

That's really the only point I was trying to make.
