Doesn't look promising, though. The only available crossings on the Friday and Sunday were at 21:00, the cost was £337 (admittedly, that was with a cabin to myself rather than the shared accomodation), and it's an overnighter, isn't it?

I need to get back to work on Monday morning, back here in glamorous Bracknell, so I'd have to leave on the Saturday night, having arrived that morning - which (especially for the cost) barely seems worth it.

It's looking like the Tunnel is the best bet. Mind you, I don't know if I fancy eight hours of travelling after playing golf for three days running... Falling asleep at the wheel has never struck me as a particularly clever move!

A quick look at EasyJet from Luton to AMS gives £103.74 for flights at the right sort of times - anyone know how much it would then cost to get to Amersfoort? It may end up being the cheapest as well as the quickest, when fuel costs are considered.

Hmmm... still can't decide...
