Actually we're still getting "Checking for extra DRAM at c1000000: wrote 00000000, read c0000000 " or sometimes "Checking for extra DRAM at c1000000: wrote 00000000, read c0" at the beginning of the boot log and further down it reports 32 MB, hence the confusion.
