Bruno, I really don't think your experience with Amazon is the typical one, however, I can't comment on what the experience is like in Canada. In the US, though, I've had nothing but good experiences ordering from Amazon and everything else pales in comparison, thus the reason for this thread


The whole next day shipping thing definitely depends on where you live. In the UK I'm sure it's easier for them to get things to customers that quickly. Even in the US, though, it really depends. They only promise free 2-day, but they can over-deliver and occasionally do (not as much as Zappos does, though). One weird thing is that even when I lived 10 miles from my mother, she was able to get same-day shipping and I was not.
