Sorry, I mis-spoke in the original post.

After poking and prodding and scratching my head, I realized that the OOMA acts as a pass-through between the cable modem and the router, as shown in the diagram.

From my uninformed perspective, it seems as though the router is the culprit here. If I don't use the router, I can connect. If I do use the router, whether or not the OOMA is in the loop, I can't connect. Should I try the "Reset to Default" thing as offered in picture #19? Or maybe just buy a new router?
