What if I just set the little switch on the Betz board to the down/right/off position? Then BATT is not connected to ON which means that the voltage regulator does not have any input voltage at all. Would that also suffice do you think?

(I'm trying to design a system whereby I can still update that chip with the UART built into the Betz board if needed. I don't expect there to be any new software updates, but I'm thinking I might experiment with adding an APTX_LL license to the the thing.)
