Give it a go and see. The WT32i will be fine, but I had once had a similar situation with a board that had a "dangling regulator" on it, and the regulator got rather warm, sucking a LOT of current, somehow, for some reason. Dunno why.

So just check to see if the regulator gets warm or not.
